Mackay MMA hosts the Carnage in the Cage Event.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a ground fighting system that emphasizes position, control and submissions such as chokes, arm locks and leg logs.
BJJ was made famous in UFC 1 where Royce Gracie from Brazil used BJJ techniques to conquer the tournament that put all forms of Martial Arts against each other.
Mackay MMA is under the guidance of Anthony Perosh, who is a 4th degree Black Belt under Carlos Machado.
Thai Kickboxing (Muay Thai)
Thai Kickboxing is a combat sport from the Muay Martial Arts of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques.
The physical and mental discipline which includes combat on foot is known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins and feet.
